So after doing my now routine post-update Facebook interface poke-around, I hopped on to one of my favorite applications - Zynga’s ATTACK! which is a game of Risk online. Yes. I’m a dork. You knew that already.
Yesterday evening, Facebook has rolled out it’s own version of Twitter’s famous “retweet” button. When you see a shared item that you like in the News Feed and click “share” – rather than the share seeming to come from you, the share now says “Via <name of original sharer>.” This is great because credit is now always going to be given to the original sharer, and you don’t have to @tag the people who you do want to give credit to. Instead, credit will be given automatically.
Yesterday, I wrote a post about how Twitter rolled out Assigned Tweets. That led to a really great discussion with Ross Simmonds (who commented on said post) which went a little something like this:
