Lately, I’ve had a few people ask me about how to show more of their friend’s status updates. Here’s a screencast I did explaining exactly how to never miss what your friends are up to! This is my first experiment with screencasting. If you give me feedback, I can improve on it! Enjoy!

Google are taking advantage of their huge user base once more to identify logos, landscapes, artwork, landmarks, and lots more! Why? Because they want to use the info to make their new Google Goggles into a working Search Engine that uses images instead of text! The application is available now on Android phones.

Skype will be releasing Android and Blackberry apps in March of this year!

Skype, along with Verizon Wireless, will be releasing the apps to many of Verizon’s devices including the BlackBerry Storm 9530, Storm2 9550, Curve 8330, Curve 8530, 8830 World Edition and Tour 9630 smartphones, as well as DROID by Motorola, DROID ERIS by HTC and Motorola DEVOUR.

Kai Oistamo of Nokia and Renee James of Intel took the stage yesterday to announce the new MeeGo open-source software platform. Today, they released the video from that announcement. Below are both videos (part 1 and part 2) for your viewing pleasures! This is going to be pretty freaking awesome:

I didn’t know it existed – but  many people did know it existed, and apparently it’s popular enough to be streamed live by YouTube!

Forget Orkut. Okay, don’t forget it – but Google wants you to. Orkut was Google’s crack at a social network a while back, and while it’s popular in Brazil, it never took off that much here.

Recently, YouTube have made it much easier for users to find friends through Facebook, Yahoo!, and Gmail (which has been possible for a while.) Now, they’re taking on Twitter with a new hashtag attempt. The hashtag is #SubSaturday, short for Subscription Saturday, and it will encourage people to recommend others for subscription the same way #FollowFriday recommends friends for following on Fridays.
